Vita Kolar (b. 1992, Maribor), also working under the name VXVX, is an interdisciplinary visual artist whose work develops across both static and moving image, combining different visual languages into a cohesive practice rooted primarily in digital image – making.

The core of her process is a painterly approach within the digital environment. She constructs compositions through an intuitive layering of forms, colours and structures, often allowing sequences and visual variations to emerge directly through the digital process itself.

A central aspect of her practice is sampling and transformation of visual material. She gathers fragments from the intersection of pop culture and everyday surroundings – textiles, physical materials, found images, digital fragments, and urban textures, posters or weathered surfaces. These collected elements are processed and transformed into custom digital brushes and tools, which she uses to construct compositions in a painterly manner.

Her visual language often draws inspiration from natural forms and organic flows, translating their rhythms and movement into synthetic, digitally constructed forms.
Although the work originates in the digital space, it frequently materializes in physical space through different formats. Her visuals appear as posters, giclée prints, and large-format canvas works, as well as light murals, live visual performances, projection-based works and light installations. Across these contexts, the images maintain their process-based character, moving fluidly between screen, surface and spatial environments.
